Pam Bondi has emerged from self-exile following right-wing blowback over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files and is reasserting control over the Justice Department and her role as attorney general.

A Democratic Senator has accused the Department of Justice of having "failed to conduct a real investigation" into Jeffrey Epstein's funding.

Democrats say 97% of released Epstein files contain no new info. Trump initially hesitated to release files but later directed more to be released.

The majority of the government’s Epstein files — estimated to be around 100,000 pages — have not been released to the public. More files will be turned over to the Oversight panel, which promised to release them after redacting personal information. But it’s unclear when the next tranche of files will sent to Capital Hill.

"Innocent people shouldn’t be hurt but I’m in support of keeping it totally open, I couldn’t care less," Trump said during a White House event Aug 22.
