A Massachusetts man who won a $2.5 million lottery prize will receive his money over a 20-year span — here's why.

A trust has collected a $1 million jackpot in the Massachusetts State Lottery. SKB 100 Trust of Quincy claimed the seven-figure prize after winning the payday playing the “$1,000,000 Ultimate 7,” a $5 scratch-off ticket.

REHOBOTH — Bebelin Galvez of Rehoboth won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts StateLottery ’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant ticket game. The Massachusetts State Lottery Commission said Galvez chose the cash option with her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000, before taxes, on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

In the course of five days, two lottery players won $1 million from the new Celtics-themed scratch ticket game.

The winning ticket was purchased at Honey Farms on Daniel Shays Highway in Orange, which will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.
