The 2025 Apple Intelligence-armed M4 Air has been a huge hit since its release last year — over 2,000 Amazon reviewers give it a blowout average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars. When a machine that’s this universally praised by both buyers and reviewers takes a sudden $300 price drop, from $1,599 to $1,299, it’s time to take a long hard look.
That said, there’s still more to come: Apple should be releasing an M5 Max and M5 Ultra Mac Studio in the near term future. In the February 22nd edition of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that the new Mac Studio is on track for the first half of 2026.
