U.S. Olympic hockey player and Devils star Jack Hughes responded to the criticism he and his teammates faced this week.

An interesting update has surfaced regarding Tate McRae's relationship with USA hockey star Jack Hughes.

The NHL season resumed on Wednesday night and the New Jersey Devils were at home facing the Buffalo Sabres. This would be the first time that Jack Hughes would be on the ice since scoring the golden goal in overtime for Team U.

Hughes was honored by the Devils before the game. The Devils showed video of Hughes' overtime goal in the United States' 2-1 victory over Canada on Sunday in the gold-medal game. Hockey fans roared with pride as they welcomed Hughes back to the rink. He took a victory lap with Thompson in a welcome home Olympic victory ceremony.

Believe it or not, Jack Hughes has actually slept since Sunday. Well, he technically called it a nap. When his head did hit the pillow Wednesday prior to his return to the NHL, Hughes said he was thinking about the pregame festivities being bestowed upon him after becoming the face of Team USA’s gold-medal-winning pursuit in Milan.
