Production on the set of “Emily in Paris” was temporarily suspended after assistant director Diego Borella unexpectedly collapsed while filming in Venice, Italy. Borella was pronounced dead at the scene from “a sudden heart attack” at 7 p.m. local time.

“Emily in Paris” assistant director Diego Borella has died after collapsing on the set of the hit series. According to La Repubblica, the series was shooting at the Hotel Danieli in Venice, Italy, when the 47-year-old collapsed in view of the crew after reportedly suffering a heart attack.
