The New York Mets have signed nine-time All-Star closer Craig Kimbrel to a minor league contract, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post. Kimbrel will look to add to his career total of 440 saves in Queens if he makes the Mets' major league roster.
Nine-time All-Star Craig Kimbrel will try to pitch in a 17 th Major League season after agreeing to terms with the New York Mets on Saturday. While the National League team has not announced the agreement, the New York Post, New York Times and MLB.com reported on Kimbrel’s return to baseball.
