Boeing and GE Aerospace secured a $96 billion agreement to sell Qatar Airways up to 210 aircraft, the White House said.

The order will support 154,000 U.S. jobs annually, the White House said.

An expanded GE Aerospace and Qatar Airways partnership, secured during President Trump's controversial visit to Doha, could boost Wilmington workers.

President Donald Trump has said that Qatar is "donating" its Boeing 747 to the U.S. and not to him personally, as the fallout from the potential transaction continues. On Sunday, reports emerged that Trump was to accept the Boeing 747-8, which will be retrofitted with state-of-the-art security and communications to serve as Air Force One.

Boeing has secured a deal with Qatar for up to 210 jets in what the White House is calling the aircraft makers’s “largest-ever” widebody order worth $96 billion dollars.
