In historical records, the village was first …Halič is a village and municipality in the Lučenec District in the Banská Bystrica Region of Slovakia. In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1299 in the records of the Kingdom of Hungary as the location of a very important castle. From 1554 to 1594 it was occupied by Turks. Before the creation of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, it was part of Nógrád County within the Kingdom of Hungary. From 1938 to 1945 it again belonged to Hungary as a result of the First Vienna Award.
