You have to take a car to reach the desert area from the main areas of Dubai. I doubt you can park your car anywhere for free. Instead why don't you spend just around 80-120 Dirhams …
You have to take a car to reach the desert area from the main areas of Dubai. I doubt you can park your car anywhere for free. Instead why don't you spend just around 80-120 Dirhams per person and enjoy the evening with pick up from hotel or apartment, dune bashing, sand skating, music and food. It's all included in the price and well worth the money. If you just want photos to show to your friends, then use a green screen in your room itself and edit it to make it look that you went to the desert.

Totally dropping this activity from your itinerary is not a good idea i guess as evening in camp is good and an experience to have. Also the cars which they use for safari are good ones like land cruiser so its not as rough as we have in india.
