What horsepower motor to use on light weight 14' aluminum boat?
I was wondering what size outboard motor to use on my 14' harbercraft aluminum boat? The boat is pretty light, probably 165lb-180lb range and I bought it off a guy who used to put on top of his canopy on his truck. My boat has a 15" transom and like I said it is pretty light weight and probably comparable to a 14' starcraft.

I pull my boat with a Buick ...

Circle boat races in April- post race update | River Daves Place
The boat wakes do some funky things there and I found myself skipping slideways a couple times. Very similar feeling to my last crash only not quite as bad and i could see it coming. More cav plate cured that and we were killing them in the turns. It was very fun and exciting to get back into that groove again. I hope this is the way of the future.
