"I would never go back here, 2 stars is only because it was clean inside.. But for a place trying to be a gourmet restaurant, they failed miserably. Have had better food off of a food truck We were a party of 15 people and yet only had 1 waitress assigned to us who was also overworked at other tables as well. It was very obvious they were overbooked and understaffed, crazy since we made reservations well in advance. Waited forever for just water, let alone to place and order and finally get food. When the food arrived it was bland, basic and room temperature... Was not worth the price tag at all, got invited here by others and now know this is the spot to avoid unless all you care about is a cool looking joint with no open parking."

"Today is July 30, 2025. I placed an order for a Ryobi part on July 23, 2025. They said they are shipping is scheduled for August 4, 2025. 12 Days not counting UPS ground. Not a good place to get parts if you are in need of them. I will update on whether they get shipped out as communicated by the Customer Service Rep. NOT GOOD"

What's happened to bass barn?
For the past few years it appears that Bass Barn posts have decreased significantly. I have read a lot about back biting, personal attacks and vendettas. During the month of October, to date I count only 9 new posts on Home Port. I remember a lot of October posts on early stripers, late blues...

Fishing Reports September 1 to September 30th | BASS BARN
Here we are at Labor Day. I don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing. It sort of marks the end of prime tourist season at the shore towns, which is a good thing. I do not remember it being as crowded with as much traffic as we saw this year. Everything you wanted to do, you have to...

What to do with the tuna scraps? - BASS BARN
So what can be done with the little bits (actually little chunks) of tuna that turn up after you steak the main part of it? Some kind of stew or I was thinking maybe like tuna cakes (like crab cakes). I'm sure there are some suggetions or recipes. I just want to use as much as I can. What do ya...

Line Capacity of Penn 30TW/50TW - BASS BARN
550? yards of 80 The penn book specifications only give line capacity for the reel rating. The book says a 30TW holds 900 yards of 30. The 50TW holds 850 yards of 50. I think the 50TWs hold about 550 of 80#. You won't get very much 80# on a 30, and keep in mind, your drag is limited to the reel rating, not the line.

Ride of NorthCoast 235 HT Cabin? - BASS BARN
Has anyone been on a NorthCoast 235 Hard Top cabin boat, 2012 or newer? I saw one at the Atlantic City boat show and really liked the layout. It has a modified V hull with what looks to be a pretty sharp bow but only a 10º deadrise at the stern, so I am concerned about pounding in a head sea...

Fluke Vs. Slip Ring Anchor - BASS BARN
The slip ring is for getting free of snags. If snaggged, you runn the boat up over the anchor, the ring slides up the shaft, and you can pull the anchor out backwards by the head. HPDI Oil Reservior Not filling? - BASS BARN
2003 250 HPDI. Got an oil alarm running back in on a charter on Sunday... there was plenty in the maiin tank. Popped the cowling and the reservior was down to the add line. Turned the key back on and tried to use the switch next to the reservior to re-fill the tank and did not get even a hum...
